Cambridge Chinese Community Center children's library officially launched

With BookKnock's continuous support and knowledge sharing, Cambridge Chinese Community Center's volunteers worked very hard for two months to prepare for the library set-up and ship near 300 books from China to Cambridge, UK.

The Cambridge Chinese Community Center children's library officially launched on Novemeber 22nd, 2015 to serve local children who are learning Chinese language and culture. Over 20 little readers joined the program, read books on site and also borrowed books back home on the launch day.

The volunteers bring books to the community center every Sunday afternoon and run the library service for 2+ hours. Besidies book reading and borrowing, more colorful activities including read-aloud, story time, family reading programs, parent workshops and events will be hosted. More books will be shipped here next year based on the feedback of local families and young readers. Stay tuned!

The library is funded by individual donation, membership fee and BookKnock Community Reading Grant of Eirya Foundation.
